last glow

the second track on our reflections ep released on this never happened. last glow was built around the feeling of something fading—light, time, maybe even hope—but doing so with groove. where reflections was more inward looking, this one reaches a little further out.

the track opens with warm, breathy ambient pads before introducing broken piano chords and a subtle pulsing rhythm. it carries a bittersweet tension—like sunrise light slipping through cloud. the feeling was surprisingly organic: it arrived quickly in the studio, already knowing its own language.

for us, last glow felt like the emotional centre of the ep. a moment suspended between memory and movement. it’s one of those pieces that came quickly and instinctively, like it already knew what it wanted to be.
