deluge

deluge closes archaellum’s reflections ep, released february 2021 on this never happened—and it does so with a swell of emotion. if last glow reached outward and reflections breathed inward, then deluge pours everything into the ebb and flow of the ep’s closing arc.

the track begins with a soft, liquid synthbed, gradually building with fractured piano motifs, gentle percussion, and field-recorded ambience. it swells into a cascading emotional peak before settling into stillness. it feels like a letting go—of weight, of tension, of breath.

dancing astronaut called the full ep “a masterclass in ambient catharsis,” and deluge might be the most cathartic moment of all. it was featured on bbc radio 1’s chillest show, which felt like a quiet, far-reaching echo of the intention we poured into it.
