‘words’ is ad harmonium’s first single from piano day vol. 4—the official global tribute started by nils frahm and celebrated on the 88th day of the year. released in early 2025 on leiter, the track honours the piano’s expressive depth and structural precision.

we composed it to reflect the rapid flow of emotion carried through the piano’s voice—fingers moving quickly, yet deliberately. it’s concise and intentional, bridging the neoclassical and ambient textures that shape our sound.

piano day described it as exhibiting “avant-garde expressionism” and inviting listeners “to reflect and explore within the rapid piano notes.” that felt right to us. the piece is tactile, immediate—almost like the sound of thought forming.
